| I treat my textiles like scientific experiments, which inspires risk taking. I produce fabrics through my experimentation that fuse futurism and luxury. The extraordinary colours and textures found in nature fascinate me and provide the inspiration for many of my projects. From bioluminescent insects to phosphorus rocks and natural iridescence found in geological structures. I exploit the potential of digital technology to enhance the colour and manipulate my own photography of natural minerals and rocks. I then translate this to cloth using traditional printing techniques such as devore and procion, with foil detailing. My textiles are created for interior spaces and are highly textured, with a focus on deep, luxurious colour. |
