Q. What will happen if I use too hot an iron?
A. The colours will change and not be as pretty
Q. What will happen if I forget to use paper
A. You will fuse the piece to your iron and possibly the surface that you're ironing on
Q. What will happen if I don't have any tissue paper
A. You can use any paper, preferably as thin as possible. The iron setting may vary slightly. We have used brown paper, thin wrapping, and even paper towels. Experiment to see what is working for you.
Experiment!
Before ironing briefly between two sheets of tissue paper, on a silk setting
- tease apart bits of the individual sparklethread colours and mix them
- and /or
- trap sequins, fine yarns, pices of foil, paper or fine wires within the sparklethreads
Or after ironing
- glue or stitch sequins, beads or other bits and pieces on to the completed piece
- simply decorate with Appliglue colours
When it's finished, punch, cut into shapes or stamp out and apply to your project
